Los Angeles-based artist Jedediah Corwyn Voltz, known for his work as a prop builder, has crafted a series called Somewhere Small, featuring miniature treehouses built around succulents and cacti. Using leftover materials from his stop-motion projects, Voltz began creating tiny fantasy structures, which evolved into more elaborate dioramas. These whimsical treehouses range from watchtowers and meditation platforms to bustling windmills.
Each miniature world is furnished with handmade pottery, rugs, and sculptures. Many plants are adorned with raw gemstones like tiger’s eye and quartz, reflecting Voltz’s love of geology.
